Are you trying to raise capital for your company?  A company’s finances is its life blood.  If your company is trying to raise capital it can be a very daunting process and you should work with someone with experience that knows how to raise capital for a startup.   

There are many finance options available to early stage companies when capital raising. I will advise you on the assortment of seed funding and later stage options available while working with you during each stage of the process.  My guidance will start with the financing strategy.  This includes:  determining the size of your raise, whether it should be a debt or equity raise, the type of investors to target and the maximum amount of equity you are willing to issue if it is an equity raise.  I will then assist with the drafting of investment offering documents, presentation preparation, deal term negotiations and the closing.  

Debt Financing  

A debt financing is when a company retains all equity ownership in its company while receiving capital in the form of a loan.  There are various personal or business loans and credit lines.  If debt financing is the best option available for your business, I will assist you in this process.  I will help you perform due diligence on the loan structures, and advise you from a legal, financial and business perspective as to the best option.  I will also help review and negotiate deal terms and assist with the loan closing.

Equity Financing

If debt financing isn't a favorable option, you should consider how to raise money without a loan for a business.  There are many different equity financing options that you can explore as an early stage company.  I have experience with angel investments, private equity investments, venture capital investments and even crowdfunding for business options.  I will work with your team on determining the correct valuation for your company, we will then strategize on the best investor pairings.   I will also assist in the investor due diligence process to help you choose the best investor partner.  

Investment Materials and Offering Documents

I will also assist you in drafting the company’s offering documents and investment materials.  I will do this from both a legal and business perspective to help see to it that you are following regulatory compliance guidelines while effectively demonstrating its business model and plan to the potential investors.  I can also use my years of experience working with investors to  provide you with investor pitch and presentation preparation so you make your best pitch.

After you have found an investor, I can assist you with deal negotiations, structuring the deal terms, and all investment documents.  This includes closing the funding round.
